Selected in the fourth round of the 2005 draft pick out of Saginaw Valley State by the Philadelphia Eagles, Herremans played in 127 regular-season games (124 starts) and eight playoff games (all starts) as an Eagle, spanning the positions of left tackle, left guard, and right tackle. Herremans started four games at left tackle after former Pro Bowler Tra Thomas went down with a back injury late in the 2005 season. The Eagles moved Herremans to left guard in 2006, where he started all 16 games. He signed a five-year contract extension after the season after being part of an offensive line that allowed just 28 sacks in 2006, the fewest for the Eagles since 1981.
When Herremans caught his November 2, 2008, touchdown pass against the Seattle Seahawks, he became the first offensive lineman for the Eagles to catch a touchdown pass since 1934, the franchise's second season.
A left guard from 2006 to 2010, the Eagles move Herremans to right tackle for the 2011 season, and to right guard in 2013, where he spent his final two years with the Eagles. Herremans played his final season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2015.
Herremans had 124 career starts over the course of 10 seasons, which ranks him sixth all-time among Eagles' offensive lineman. He is the only offensive lineman in franchise history to register two touchdown receptions (one-yard pass from QB Donovan McNabb in 2008 and a two-yard pass from Michael Vick in 2010).
