Hemp Flowers And The CBD Experience

March 29, 2018

Hemp cultivation dates back thousands of years but gained popularity in the West in North America in the 1600s where settlers began growing the hemp plant for its unusually strong fiber and used it to make rope, sails, and clothing.

Hemp is often confused with marijuana. Both are in the Family Cannabaceae (which includes other soft woods like roses and hops) and both are Genus Cannabis.

CBD hemp flowers are harvested by hand and dried naturally before they are processed, trimmed and sorted. Hemp contains essential fatty acids, protein, vitamins, minerals, terpenes, aromatic molecules, CBD and other cannabinoids.
An important difference between CBD hemp & marijuana is that industrial hemp contains less than 0.3% of delta 9 THC and is non-psychoactive.

Smoking CBD – The CBD Experience

High-CBD, low-THC marijuana strains have completely opposite features than high-THC & low-CBD strains. You will not experience that mind-altering high that you get from THC-dominant strains.

Low-THC strains provide strong relaxation. It also doesn’t have that sedating and couch-locking effects of a heavy indica. Instead, a low-THC strain will clear your mind and body and allow you to focus and experience a sense of calmness.

The clarity of mind & sense of calmness is the main reason why CBD-dominant strains are being researched and are currently being used (with tremendous success) for medical purposes.

High-CBD strains promote the positive sense of wellbeing, the reduction of pain, the uplifting of mood, & relaxation. All of these benefits will be seen without any distortion of cognition (as experienced with high THC strains.)

So, if you’re having a stressful day, & just want something to take the edge off, a high CBD strain will knock your worries out of the park.
