CBD Beauty Products are Taking Over the Industry

February 22, 2019

CBD beauty products have become so popular lately that Wall Street analysts are beginning to consider it a category of its own, separate from other CBD products and the natural beauty market.

As a matter of fact, CBD beauty products are trendy enough that major retailers like Sephora, Barneys, and Neiman Marcus are starting to take notice. Industry analysts at Piper Jaffray expect these products to significantly boost the CBD market as a whole.

According to Erin Murphy, senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, “We view the CBD beauty market as an extension of the broader natural & clean beauty movement that is taking hold within the industry. Google search trends suggest consumer interest in cannabis beauty has been picking up over the past year.”

Major Retailers Are Eyeing CBD Beauty Products

CBD beauty and hygiene products will soon be available at most major cosmetic retailers

Sephora was the first well-known beauty company to begin selling CBD products, and over the last few months, they’ve added a few more cannabis-based products to their inventory. Some are available online and select stores carry an even larger selection.

Barneys of New York recently announced that they are also carrying high-end cannabis items, including CBD beauty products, in one of their Beverly Hills, California, stores. Neiman Marcus will also be following this trend and will begin selling CBD beauty products online and in five select stores.

Other companies that have expressed interest in CBD beauty are Estee Lauder, e.l.f. Beauty, and Ulta Beauty.

Favorite Brands and Products

Crema da Notte from Celebrate Bella

Two of my personal favorite CBD beauty products come from Celebrate Bella and Joy organics. Both companies use high-quality ingredients, have excellent customer service, and truly care about their consumers and the industry.

In my opinion, one of the best products from Bella is the Crema da Notta (Italian for night cream). It’s an extremely hydrating face cream that’s specially formulated with peptides, bioactive phospholipids, and ceramides – all healthy fats that are naturally found in the skin. Each 2 oz jar contains 100mg of hypoallergenic CBD isolate. Click here if you’d like to try it out and make sure to use the coupon code CBDTESTERS for 25% off.

Face mask from Joy Organics

Also of interest is the Joy Organics CBD Face Mask. You can use this mask after washing your face to combat the damage done to your skin by pollution and other day to day toxins we may encounter. Along with 10 mg of full-spectrum CBD oil, it’s comprised of black licorice, rosemary, and other natural extracts. In the near future, we expect to see more conglomerate brands include CBD beauty products in their lineups. Check back for more updates on this developing industry and make sure to subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter for all the latest news and information about the cannabis industry.

September 28, 2022

Take two of the most hot-button, tendentious issues of our time – cannabis use and gun rights – combine them, and now we really have a debate. As the law currently stands, medical cannabis patients are not afforded their 2nd amendment right to bear arms. Technically, all cannabis consumers are banned from buying guns, but only medical […]

Cannabis policy changes in Africa are welcome. But small producers are the losers by Clemence Rusenga

Cannabis is a drug crop with a long history in Africa. Alongside coca and opium poppy, it has been subjected to international control for nearly a century. The International Opium Convention of 1925 institutionalised the international control system and extended the scope of control to cannabis. In 1961 a new international convention was adopted to […]

University of Sydney to Offer Free Cannabis Testing by Johnny Green

The University of Sydney is launching a fairly robust study in an attempt to, as the university describes it, “investigate cannabis consumption, behaviours, and attitudes among users.” Part of the study involves offering free, anonymous cannabis testing for people that cultivate their own cannabis in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Cannabis was decriminalized in 2020 in the […]
