Boris slams ‘hemp-smelling’ Extinction Rebellion protests

October 08, 2019

On Monday, Extinction Rebellion began their two-week protest against the lack of governmental action to fight the climate crisis. Hemp growing may be the answer but we need to change the attitudes and acceptance levels of hemp and CBD before it can help.

But Prime Minister Boris Johnson seems less than pleased, describing Extinction Rebellion protesters as ‘uncooperative crusties' blocking up London streets with ‘heaving hemp-smelling bivouacs’.

The PM’s comments came at the launch of the final volume of a Margaret Thatcher biography, authored by Johnson’s former Daily Telegraph boss Charles Moore.

At the launch, Johnson stated that he was advised against attending the event, claiming “I am afraid that the security people didn’t want me to come along tonight because they said the road was full of uncooperative crusties and protesters of all kinds littering the road. And they said there was some risk that I would be egged.”

The group have set up camp on some of the busiest areas of London – including Trafalgar Square and Westminster Bridge – to draw attention to the need for affirmative action to combat climate change. According to the UN, governments have just 11 years left to try and reverse the potentially catastrophic effects of global warming.

University of Sydney to Offer Free Cannabis Testing by Johnny Green

The University of Sydney is launching a fairly robust study in an attempt to, as the university describes it, “investigate cannabis consumption, behaviours, and attitudes among users.” Part of the study involves offering free, anonymous cannabis testing for people that cultivate their own cannabis in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Cannabis was decriminalized in 2020 in the […]
